Worldwide known puppet of Pinocchio is one of the most popular fairytale characters ever. The original story of Pinocchio, the carved puppet boy who dreamed to become a real human comes from Italy when Carlo Collodi wrote a story named The Adventures of Pinocchio (Le avventure di Pinocchio). It dates back in 1883!!!

The story says Pinocchio can only become a real boy if he proves himself to be brave, truthful, and unselfish. Thus begin the puppet’s adventures to become a real boy, which involve many encounters with a host of unsavory characters. One of the most significant and well known part of the story is when Pinocchio’s nose starts to grow due to telling lies or being under stress.

Pinocchio character inspired many artists and became worldwide famous. Did you know that Disney animated Pinocchio and in 1940 released a film that is considered a masterpiece of the art of animation? It was deemed culturally significant by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.

What’s more, there is also an opera called The Adventures of Pinocchio. Japanese artists were inspired by Pinocchio, too so there is Pinocchio as manga or Pinocchio also briefly appeared in the Shrek trilogy.

Our Pinocchio is high-end marionette specially hand carved from limewood. Moving with him goes much easier thanks to his special joints. He has red pants and black vest as we usually know him. He will definitely cheer you up with his honest smile and bright eyes.
